Originally named, Schema LLC, STREAM design is an acronym for Solutions To Remodel Engineer and Manage, it refers to the concept of placing the client in direct control of a design build process. Stream will assist the customer with contracted labor and material selection.
The use of a web portal is the latest tool which assures STREAM’s competitive edge in the home remodeling market.
The head designer, Alain Caren works in the residential tri-state area for the last 15 years.
He has managed a portfolio of over 300 projects, with yearly average turnover valued between $1.5 and $2 million.
This original approach comes from Alain’s unique background. Originally, from the French Riviera, he joins the family construction business very early. Originally founded by his grandfather in 1890, Alain gained experience and by 1983 he graduated as "Architecte DPLG" and went on to design custom-built villas and apartment complexes which blended
with the natural settings of the French Riviera.
Between 1995 and 2009, Alain honed his style in the tri-state remodeling market evolving
the remodeling process along with the technology. In 2009, Schema became Stream Design and launched its client web portal offering real-time visibility to projects. This enables STREAM clients to virtually manage their projects and maintain full visibility to project progress.
Joe Pelletan, Designer and CM in France, one of Alain’s longtime collaborators in the French Riviera is the other part of the STREAM partnership. Since 1992, SARL L’Architecte has design, managed and built hotels, villas, condominiums, golf courses. He actively manages projects in Europe, and owns a property in Florida; Joe has a wealth of experience adapted for all types of construction projects.
